Good job, Debra. I'm quite surprised that this log is from the same system. It's
clean, nothing left to fix! I must have been mistaken about the CWS variant that
showed in the log. hmmm.....
You got rid of a lot more than winsysmngr, whatever that was. I didn't see anything
about it in the log. Now to keep it from happening again. Happy computing. :)
For prevention/protection only; these aren't cleaners: SpywareBlaster will help
prevent further malware infections. It doesn't need to be running so uses no resources.
You can read more about it. Be sure to check for and download updates after installing
it. Then enable protection. SpywareGuard can be used, in addition, for real time
protection. Check for updates often:
JavaCoolSoftware.com
Consider using an alternative browser as your main browser. FireFox or Opera are
couple good choices. IE has too many security issues. Most of the malware infections
come through IE, and rarely is there a browser hijacking when using another browser.
For other tips and suggestions:
How did I get infected in the first place?
