Two problems with Internet Explorer

Two things happen when I'm browsing but don't know if both are related. After a
while browsing the browser stop responding and no pages can be dowloaded. If I
close the browser and open it again all I can see at the bottom left corner is the
IP address of my home page but the same never open. The only page I can open is
the page of my ISP and after navigating it for a while I can get back to other pages.
If not, then I have to reboot.
The other problem is when I have two browsers open or a browser and a messenger.
When I hit Alt + Tab to change window, I see the browsers icon but I also see a
Windows Logo Icon and when I select it there is no name or explanation. When I hit
Ctrl+Alt+Del there is nothing unknow running. Any help will be appreciate.
