Well, thanks Spike. I see though, that I'm going to have to take the fan off the processor--looks like there's a clip of some sort on it. Then I'll check it out. But I thought, that since it's a Cyrix, Mark 2; that Cyrix got bought out by some other manufacturer...well, I suppose I'll find out soon enuf, if I try and Google it. I'm not sure what you mean by your second point though. Anyway, it may be that this motherboard doesn't support large drives--at least not larger than the measly 2.1 gig drive they installed. Arg. In that case it's 'trade-up time'.... Marc
