The color settings are related to your video/graphics card. If you didn't format
the drive, before you reinstalled, the drivers should still be on your hard drive.
Also, the correct Video make/model should be listed, when you go to change it. You
need to know the name of the mfgr. for your Video card. Reinstall your Video Display
drivers.
Right click the Desktop - Properties - click Settings tab. Click Advanced Button
- Adapter tab - Change button. Click next in the wizard - select "show a list of
drivers" Next. Wait for it to finish "building a driver information database."
In the new window, select "show all hardware." If it lists the correct Video card
make and model, click Next and finish it out. If it doesn't, then select your video
card maker, and the model in the right pane. Click Next and finish out; restart if
prompted.
Otherwise, you need to find out the make of your Video card and locate the proper
drivers at the manufacturers website.
