I, to have a presario 1670 that I have tried (in vain) to get the video drivers for.
(The System Restore CD's don't work otherwise I would use them) I have downloaded
the file sp14518.exe to a number of different computers and still I get the message
(on 2000 or XP... this is not a valid Win32 application) or just the error that was
initally mentioned here on a Win98 computer. I contacted HP/Compaq and they said
it works fine...NOT.... the tech said and I quote "This particular softpaq will work
only in Windows 98 system and 98 applications are not compatible with XP." I tried
to explain to him that XP will not even run the program w/o giving the error.. yes
I do know it's for a Win98 computer but the program should still launch!!!!
.... DUHHHHH
It may be that the file is corrupted on their FTP server I don't know. I have searched
another source for these drivers and have drawn a blank... anyone???? HELP!!!!
