I'm glad I found this forum. My problem is totally crazy. I get the "Explorer has
caused...kernel32.dll" whenever I try to use any shortcut to open a folder (either
on the desktop or MS office shortcut bar), whether I'm online or not. It pops up
twice and after I click 'close' on the second one, the folder usually opens normally,
except for My Computer and Recycle Bin, which will not open at all. I can still go
online and download stuff with no problem. It doesn't happen when I open individual
files with shortcuts, only folders. The plan is to put up with this till I get a
burner, then back everything up and re-install 98SE and Office 2000, unless someone
on here has an idea. Maybe it's just haunted.
