Want to re-install SigmaTel AC97 audio driver

By mistake, I uninstalled my SigmaTel AC97 audio driver v3011WDM.
I'm using Windows 98SE.
From a Google search, I've downloaded various SigmaTel AC97 drivers, zipped and unzipped,
but even after the SigmaTel blue screen shows up and says I've installed it, and
when I opened up their .exe file and even that says it's been installed, I still
get no audio from Windows Media Player or RealPlayer.
I tried driverguide.com download, but they're worse than useless. Its SigmaTel AC97
download only has 11 files in it and not one of them is an .exe file.
So I'm stumped. The only thing I can think of to restore my audio is to re-install
Windows 98, then Windows 98SE on top of it. That contains the original SigmaTel
audio driver that I need, I suppose.
Can anyone advise me on how to uninstall Win98SE and then install Win98 and Win98SE
again?
Many thanks for your help.
