Tom,
Just wanted to thank you & everyone else for the suggested solutions. I recently
started experiencing the same exact problem - 'dial-up connection' popping up upon
startup, and then I had to click cancel on it about 5 times to get rid of it. I then
followed your solution and it worked - one of my installed programs(which uses internet
service) would appear next to the clock AFTER the 'dial-up' pop-up. It was the culprit
indeed. Thanks again.
