Windows will only run in Safe Mode Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at 4:59 am Windows 98 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Harry (4 messages posted) Yesterday I started up my labtop and got a message that said systray.exe had done an illegal operation or something and I had to close it. After clicking the close button the same alert apeared but for exporer this time. I restarted my computer and the same problem reoccured. So I went to Help and tried to troubleshoot myself. While troubleshooting I discovered I could not even open the display icon in control panel, so I restarted in Safe Mode and now my labtop will only run in safe mode. I am in Iraq and I use my labtop to email home and I would appriciate any help i can get on this matter.
