Wireless can often be a problem. Things like incorrect setup, cordless phones
and neighbors using your high speed link.
Try it with a direct Ethernet cable link instead to make sure it is not just a
Wi-Fi issue.
If cable, it could be a simple problem with bad house cables or wrong type of
splitter (or more than one splitter to the modem).
Also spyware on your system will slow it down. So a round of Anti-Virus scans
and Spyware/ADware scans with AD-Aware_SE and Spybot_S&D would be good places to start.
