First question, do you currently have a video graphics card or the video adapter integrated into the system board?

If it is a video graphics card, then some of them have empty sockets that additional video memory can be added to. Expensive and hard to find the correct memory IC's.

If the video graphics card is integrated into the system board, then most likely it uses shared system memory. If that is the case, then using BIOS CMOS Setup you might be able to change the amount of system memory that the video is allowed to use for its memory.
