Scan Disk running routinely for several hours when stopped and box appeared: DISK UTILITY HAS LOCKED .. wait .... How do I determine which utility? How do I unlock it? Scan Disk last week no problem. Only system change was downloaded MSN critical update Internet Explorer v6. Am on Toshiba Portege CTe laptop, 192 MB, using W98SE and ISP Wanadoo DialUp (and do not speak French so no help there).
