Welcome to Windows at startup Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at 10:17 pm Windows 98 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Ed (1 messages posted) Why does the operating system plague me with "Welcome to Windows" and a field to enter a password. It hangs there forever until I press "Escape". I don't want to see this. Rather, I want to press the on button on my computer and see it boot directly to a windows desktop. Anyone know how to disable this plague?
