I installed Irfanview. It is easy to use and covers all the most common editing
functions. It is better than the Windows procedures for that. It is freeware available
at:
www.irfanview.com
That's not a direct answer to your question but try it. It certainly does all the
functions you named.
I know what you mean, the current implementation of Quicktime is weird imperialistic
crap. I uninstalled it and it is still there. It also takes over wave files on
websites. I used to be able to click a link to wave file and hear it. Quicktime
took that over so it creates a new blank screen and requires me to click a player
to hear it. There is such a lack of common sense in this that the people at Claris
must have been having too much medical marijuana recently.
