I do tend to make a lot of assumptions.[1]
It IS a lot easier to run a WIPE utility
than to painstakingly go thru a HDD and delete the potentially sensitive files.

If he's getting a C: prompt, he's got an OS.
--maybe the corp decided not to "give away" a Windoze licence with the hardware.
Now I wonder if he's got FreeDOS on that thing.

Hey, Bruno. Do this and tell us what you get:

1) WILL run protection
and
2) WON'T click on every damned thing that pops up on their screens.
