|I downloaded windows 98se boot disk from bootdisk.com,

How did you make the "bootable" floppy?
If you copied what you downloaded directly to the floppy, that won't work.

Double-click on the EXE file and LET IT make the bootable disk.


Is your CMOS Setup looking for A: to be a boot disk?
