If your System Tray is full of icons, clean out the bloat. (In addition, stuff that runs at Startup doesn't necessarily show up in SysTray.) Start; Run; Open "MSCONFIG"; Startup tab. Un-tick everything EXCEPT what you absolutely need running at startup: Explorer, Systray, Scan Registry, Anti-Virus, and Firewall. (There may be some other things on *your* box that NEED to be in SysTray, but that is rare.)
