Win98se locked up Friday, September 30, 2005 at 2:24 pm Windows 98 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Jim (4 messages posted) Win98se froze up. Did a cold restart (as usual in these cases, when ctrl-alt-del ineffective). Computer now locked up on the very start of roxio GoBack3. Won't restart in safe mode. What should I do? Background: Puter been on running for about 24 hrs with a couple apps up I believe. Thought about a restart, Norton Util launch as I had a feeling.... Anywho, had a couple web pages, a doc, a folder, Outlook and an Outlook message running (about 300? ram installed). Wireless mouse cursor went awol. Tried cntrl-alt-del and escape. No luck. So I punched out. Usually works. Don't know what to do. Never ran into this. Will I have to restart with the w98 disc that came with thr computer?
