Better to use the features manually and only allow the Anti-Virus protection and the Firewall to run all the time. I would use AVG and Zone Alarm in preference. But with such a demanding program you should have at least 512 MB of RAM but it still won't help with system resources as such as this is part of the operating system architecture and cannot be increased.
