See if this helps: Right click on MY Computer and select Properties > Device Manager
double click your cd-rom drive and then the Settings tab and place a checkmark beside
DMA. Do the same for all cd/dvd rom drives and all harddrives.
Next go to the Performance tab in System Properties and click File System and
under Typical Role Of This Computer select from the dropdown menu Network Server.
