I don't know what the problem is, but do you happen to know, if anti-spyware cleaners have been used on this computer? There's a Winsock2 fix I could have you run to repair it for you, but if there's a spyware infection, it would be best to know, or find out, about that first. Are you very experienced with computers? If you understand this information, you can check against these symptoms on this page and decide if you want to run this fix.
