Cannot find the file Sunday, October 2, 2005 at 1:11 am Windows 98 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Geoff (9 messages posted) I have just started getting the message "the system cannot find the file specified" at the end of Windows start-up. It is in a little box on its own without any indication of what the file is that cannot be found. It does not seem to affect anything else & when I click on the 'OK' button it goes away. It is not a serious problem - just an annoyance.
