I have done or checked almost everything all of you have suggested. I did not do:
"Next go to the Performance tab in System Properties and click File System and under
Typical Role Of This Computer select from the dropdown menu Network Server." as I'm
not a Network.
Also when I deleted all the Windows Temp Internet files they were mostly cookies,
but there also was one folder (Content.IE5) folder with quite a few folders which
if I tried to delelte them I'd be warned that they were system folders so I did not
delete them. Should I?
Now I am in a wait mode to see if the computer will perform properly. If it fails
again I'll absolutely do the Network Server if you confirm I must otherwise I'll
post a run High Jack This. I already did run HJT and it has much shorter list than
previous times.
So, give me a few days to see if the computer is okay or not--it could take awhile
for me to find the delay again or to feel confident that all is okay.
Thanks a mil for your help!!!!!! Dewey
