Go ahead and click on that 'log off' line. A pop-up box will ask if you really want
to log off. Answer 'YES'. Then another larger pop-up box will open (This is the
'log on' box). That new pop-up log-on box will probably have that old unwanted name
in the 'USER NAME' row. Simply delete that old name and enter the new name you want
to use. Your new name doesn't have to be your real name... it can be anything you
want. Because I am usually in a hurry, I frequently just type in FRED as the user.
You also can leave the 'PASSWORD' row blank.
Now click on the 'OK' button and you should not see that unwanted old username again.
You cannot have it be blank though. Windows will insist that you enter something.
