As I learn more, I realize that the problem is with vector graphics, and I belive the problem is occuring wherever the vector info is converted to a displayable image. I'm assuming that is in the graphics (video) card, but I don't know for sure. I've borrowed another card, but wound't have a chance to try it until the weekend.
