Thanks for your suggestions.
I did delete a folder a little while ago but am not sure whether this coincided with
the problem of the error messages starting. The folder was C:\windows\application
data\mozilla. This folder was infected with a virus and as I no longer had Mozilla
installed it seemed & a good idea to delete the folder.
I have 27 programs in my start-up list. I guess in the absence of any way of finding
out which of these is the problem, the only thing is to take out them out 1 or 2
at a time & see if it gets rid of the error message.
