Just because it costs money doesn't mean it's good either. A good place to check
for virus efficiency is the Virus Bulletin (http://www.virusbtn.com/).
It would seem that the major players, Mcaffee, Norton, AVG, Avast!, and AntiVir have
all done pretty well recently. Not only does Avast! work, but it's easy to use and
effective.
