A slight twist on this thread that has me baffled. In the course of troubleshooting my slow Windows 98 boot-up, I ran MSCONFIG to have a look at the autoexec.bat file for clues. All I can see (even after completely reloading the Windows 98 O/S), is "@echo off" followed by the expected column of "check boxes." However, the text lines describing the actions associated with each of the checked boxes are completely blank--missing. Something's happening, but I can't tell what. Any ideas? Thanks.
