Internet doesn't start up in normal mode/800 x 600

Have a Dell computer which is using Dell E770p on Intel 810e chipset graphics driver (DC133FSB133) 4.11.01.1361. I could not change my display mode to high resolution after I start up on "selective Startup". In normal mode it starts up on high resolution but internet does not work. Internet works on "selective startup" but could hardly use the internet. I appreciate your suggestions. Thanks a million Prasad
