This would be the reasonable way to do it. Then you can select the COMMAND
PROMPT ONLY option from the menu.

Click Start/Run, type MSCONFIG in the 'Open' box and press enter. When the 
'System Configuration Utility' opens, click the 'Advanced' button. Now check 
the 'Enable Startup Menu' box selection and then click 'OK'. When the 'Advanced' 
window closes, click 'Apply' then 'OK' and reboot when prompted.
