Error booting computer

Please help!
I am trying to fix an old computer for my dad to use, I put the Recovery Disk into
the floppy disk drive but the response is: 'Error booting your computer, this boot
disk was not able to create a RAMDRIVE. This is probably because you don't have 2
or more megabytres of extended memory.', and then Windows doesn't load. Does anyone
have any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
