It sounds as though there's a device conflict with the Network card and the video. 
The first thing to try, is moving the Network card to another PCI slot if possible. 
Also.....be very sure that the onboard LAN is disabled in the BIOS/CMOS setup.

You should get an idea of the problem, by checking 'Device Manager'.
