Changing IRQ settings Thursday, December 15, 2005 at 4:45 pm Windows 98 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by David Gaudino (1 messages posted) I have a question about Resolving Hardware Conflicts: My new printer which uses a USB port and my ethernet connection for my internet share the same IRQ (#9). My machine keeps shutting down. I want to change my USB port IRQ. However, when I go into Device Manager resources and select change settings it will not let me change the IRQ. I get the message NO MODIFICATIONS ALLOWED THIS RESOURCE SETTING CANNOT BE MODIFIED. How can I change the setting or resolve the conflict?
