Boot Failure Sunday, January 1, 2006 at 5:17 am Windows 98 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Jeno (223 messages posted) My system will boot all the way to the screen saver but then I get the following message: "Error loading Explorer.exe You must re-install windows" Behind that message is another message which says: "The UXTHEME.DLL file is linked to missing export NTDLL.DLL:NtConnectPort." I tried re-installing windows and got all the way past install of control panel etc but again got the same error messages. I also tried installing UXTHEME and NTDLL's via floppy and did a scanreg/restore, but still the same messages. I can get to the windows start menu but can't get into safemode. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
