"Operating System Not Found" Monday, January 2, 2006 at 11:14 am Windows 98 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Allan J. (4 messages posted) When I start the computer, I get a blank screen with the words "operating system not found" at the top left. I then have to restart and go into edit mode. The Primary Master is set to "None", so I change it to the hard drive, hit F-10 to save and exit. It takes two, three or four attempts before Windows 98 will start. What can I do to stop this?
