JmC; I thank you and, it appears so should the rest of computer/novice land. It is 3:08 am and I think I will try this manana. Will definitely get back to you on it. Nite. By the way, no speaker icon on task bar and audio drivers DISABLED (all 3) and The vol. control icon on entertainment>vol control does nothing when rt. clicked to open. Tony
