Argali White & Yellow Search Program

I'm on dial-up--my ISP is some one I found on the net. I use Google's toolbar, but
have disabled it. I downloaded Argali search program just for fun. Is anyone familiar
with it? It was recommended by Kim Komando. When I try to run it, I get an error
message saying I've blocked ads on my computer. I wrote to them asking how to unblock
them and they said, "Argali displays its ads in exactly the same way as regular web
sites (e.g. Yahoo, MSN, Weather.com et al) do it. Thus you block/unblock ads for
Argali in exactly the same way how you do it for regular web sites. Most likely,
your firewall/internet filter/"hosts" file is blocking Argali access to one of its
ad providers. Unfortunately, we cannot give you an advice on how to turn ad blocking
off -- the blocking is done from outside of Argali and Argali can only detect that
ads are blocked but it cannot know how it is done in your computer." I have no firewall
that I know of. I don't really understand what the Hosts file is or does. Help
if you can. Thanks.
