Operating System Cannot Be Found Saturday, March 11, 2006 at 5:05 am Windows 98 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Tommy Sessions (3 messages posted) I installed a wireless router on my machine, then uploaded the adapter to my wife's Hewlett Packard. The install didn't work. I decided to put a hard drive with WXP Pro on it, as that is what I'm running. When I booted up, I got the message above. So I took that hard drive out and put the Win98 back in the machine...got the same message. When I turn the puter on, a black screed comes up, then at the top left, the message "Operating System Cannot Be Found." Now what do I do? This is my wife's computer, and she doesn't have much patience with it, or me, when things don't go right for her. :-( Thanks, in th Lord, Tommy!
