colors on my computer Sunday, March 12, 2006 at 12:06 am Windows 98 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Nancy (3 messages posted) A friend sent me a video to view. I tried to view it , but couldn't..a window popped from microsoft to download this codec 10 to view,( or something to that effect) ..then the picture and title showed up on left no video on the right side.. just music playing. The next day I started computer ( I have windows 98, the clouds wallpaper.) The whole screen was grey. I went in to display and tried to fix settings. I have the color at 256 colors. the wallpaper showed up as blue and white again, but is very grainy looking and not sharp and clear. When I go on the internet, pictures are more grainy and again color not sharp and clear, or the true colors. I don't think that my monitors bad?? Someone said I needed to install a new video driver..( which I have no clue how to go about that..LOL!) Could someone please give me some suggestions if you've experienced this?
