fatal exception problem

I keep getting the blue screen of death and it says a fatal exception has occured at 017F:BFF8CC32. The screen will suddenly go black and then I get the blue screen. I did a search on fatal exception but this one didn't show up. I try to do the control-alt-delete and it doesn't work. If I just "press any key to continue" I just get this weird black screen with dashes all over it. I have to do a cold boot to get the computer back up. Any ideas? Thanks! -Cheryl
