volume control disappeared Monday, March 13, 2006 at 1:05 pm Windows 98 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by taylor (11 messages posted) I just reinstalled windows 98 on my old computer. The sound card driver was missing, so I found out what type of soud card I had, then I installed the correct driver. At least I think It's the correct driver. The computer says that the driver has no problems but I still don't have sound. The volume control icon in the bottom right is gone and when I click on volume control from the start menu, nothing happens. I checked task manager but it said no program was active. Please show me how to get sound and volume control back.
