Ok, here is my problem. 2 computers have come to me in the past 6 months. Both were missing win.com. I fixed the one, but the other is a bit more tricky. I am trying to just re-install Windows 95, and then re-upgrading it with Windows 98, but ScanDisk will not finish running. It says: "Windows 95 Discussion Forum" "ScanDisk encounter a data error while reading the FAT entry for cluster 2048288. This error prevents ScanDisk from fixing this drive." What can I do? Is there anything I can do. I am trying not to reformat. I was advised to reformat the Dell, and I didn't and fixed it in a different way. This is a Panasonic laptop.
