If 95 is on the PC and the Win.com is missing you can install 98/98se over top. From
the 98 source use the setup.exe but use the following syntax: "Setup.exe /IM /ID
/IS /IQ" to skip the scandisk and other system checks during the install. (setup.exe
/? for a list of options) If the system fails the scandisk consistently I would
suspect a bad sector (physical damage) on the disk. If you do get 98 to load, I would
recommed a full scandisk / surface scan immediately after the install and before
loading more software on the disk.
