Cheryl, there are different types of fatal exception errors, and you didn't even 
say "when" it happens. You should always ponder whether you'd made any changes just 
prior to the problem. If so, what were they. 

It may just be a device driver problem, unless you get Fatal OE errors. Those 
can be memory related. This isn't something we can troubleshoot very easily through 
the forum. If you know someone who's somewhat knowledgeable on Windows issues, perhaps 
they could check things out for you? It's not good for your system to have to do 
a hard shutdown so often.
