Norton Anti-Virus was causing the recurrent dial-up connection box pop up problem
for me. In addition, I got sick of Symantec constantly forcing me to pay for upgrades,
and their customer service sucks. So I removed NAV and replaced it with AVG free
edition. It is a fantastic anti-virus program that runs and updates itself in the
background. Plus, it's free and they never pester me to pay for updates and upgrades.
