|I thought the autoexec.bat file(s) was not needed to start windows,
| Eric
|
That is correct.

|so I deleted it.
|
Disabling it in MSCONFIG would have been the wise choice.

|After deleting the file(s),
|
Specify what other files.

|I restarted my PC in DOS and it started up Links,
|but my PC does not have enough memory.
|
Got an exact error message?

|After [deleting] the files
|
Again: specify which files.

|my pc cannot start windows
|
Again: Got an exact error message?

|the program Links keeps looping
|
Don't reboot. Quit the program and get a DOS prompt.
Type C:\WINDOWS\WIN.
