It's kinda hard to believe that you haven't been using a firewall up till now! Well
anyway, you'll get many opinions on which one to use (thank you God that there isn't
a Mozilla firewall), but I've installed ZoneAlarm free on my own and many, many other
PCs of friends and family with never a problem to date of any kind. It's icon in
the systray also doubles as a small upload/download activity meter which is handy
for several reasons.
I would say the same for AVG free antivirus software. My opinion is that these are
two basic "must haves" for any machine connected to the inernet.
