"I'm not shure how or why this came to be so involved in this issue."
skipc was confused because two different posters
referred to a fix coming out the 25th for two different updates.
First poster---fix for KB912812,
MS06-013 Security Bulletin (912812)-Cumulative
Update for Internet Explorer---The KB912812 error
that skipc was receiving and concerned with.
Second poster---corrected the above---fix for KB908531,
MS06-015 Security Bulletin (908531)-Vulnerability in
Windows Explorer.
Revisions:
April 11, 2006 Version 1.0
April 15, 2006 Version 1.1
April 20, 2006 Version 1.2
April 25, 2006 Version 2.0--Bingo, this was the fix released yesterday, which at
last check had not been
made available for Windows 98, 98SE & ME, simply
because they don't always release Updates for these
OP Systems concurrently with those still supported, even though it is a Critical
Update for them...
That is how this issue got so involved, along with little
return communication from skipc...
skipc later explained what he was dealing with in trying
to resolve this for someone else over the phone...
