Hi all.

The problem is with my usb scanner Nikon Coolscan IV ED.
When I plug it to the PC, Windows detects an «Unknowh device» and automatically
installes its generic-usb driver for it.

I know, that it must recognize my scanner as Nikon LS-40 and prompt me to soecify
the driver location.

Don't know what to do. Manual driver update for that unknown device wouldn't help:
windows refuses to use the scanner's driver, persisting on its generic-usb driver.

The scanner is USB 1.1 compliant, my motherboard is ACHI-150.
