I have a comment about Stop
Windows from Randomly Searching the Floppy Drive:Microsoft Office 97 installs
Fast Find indexing by default into the startup folder. It will periodically check
the floppy drive when it indexes the system.
If you rarely search for files from within Microsoft Office, you can turn off Fast
Find by removing it from the Startup folder.
C:\WINDOWS\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp\
